Multinational military exercise Adriatic Strike 2025 presented at Brnik Airport

On Tuesday, 10 June, at a press conference held at the military section of Brnik Airport, representatives of the 15th Aviation and Air Defence Brigade of the Slovenian Armed Forces presented the 12th edition of the multinational military exercise Adriatic Strike 2025. The exercise, which will take place between 13 and 24 June in the territory and airspace of the Republic of Slovenia, will train 49 joint fire control teams. A total of 31 allied and partner countries will participate with the support of military aviation.

Colonel Janez Gube, Commander of the 15th Aviation and Air Defence Brigade, and his colleagues presented in detail the purpose, objectives, course and activities of the exercise in individual training areas across Slovenia. He also presented the participating countries and the air capabilities carrying out the six days of flying at specific times, during which temporary airspace closures will apply.

Colonel Gube took the opportunity to announce an open day at the Jernej Molan Barracks in Cerklje ob Krki, which will take place on Saturday, 14 June, between 10.00 and 17.00. The event will coincide with the opening ceremony of the Adriatic Strike 2025 exercise.

At the end of the press conference, the tasks and equipment of Joint Terminal Attack Controllers and the Hudournik light combat aircraft, which will play an important role in providing air support to the units on the ground, were presented.
