Armoured units are the main providers of fire power and maneuver. They are equipped and trained to provide support to infantry and carry out counter-airborne operations and anti-armour warfare.
The armoured capabilities of the Slovenian Armed Forces are able to participate in joint branch combat operations at the national level, and provide capacities to train infantry units in working with tanks and in anti-armour warfare.
ĐURO ĐAKOVIČ M-84 Main Battle Tank
The M-84 Main Battle Tank is a tracked heavily armoured vehicle with powerful weapons and high manoeuvre capabilities designed to destroy the opponents’ armoured combat vehicles, manpower and other combat assets.
The M-84 tank is armed with a 125 mm gun, a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. In addition to weapons, it is also equipped with a fire control system, fire protection system, CBRN protection, and a system for the detection of laser radiation.

ST RAVNE M-55 S Main Battle Tank
The M-55S tank is a tracked vehicle with explosive reactive armour and powerful weapons designed for the destruction of the opponents’ manpower, armoured and other combat vehicles. The M-55 S is an upgrade of the T-55.
The tank is armed with a 105 mm gun, a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. In addition to weapons, it is also equipped with a fire control system, fire protection system, CBRN protection, and a system for the detection of laser radiation. It is intended for the Slovenian Armed Forces reserve units.

ST RAVNE M-55 USP Main Battle Tank
The M-55 USP Main Battle Tank is intended for the training of tank drivers.
Instead of a turret it has a special construction that enables the instructor to monitor the work of the driver and to observe the direction of travel. In terms of dimensions, the tank does not differ from the M-55 S tank. Nonetheless, it enables the instructor to monitor the work of the driver.

ZTS MARTIN JVBT 55A Recovery Tank
This armoured tracked recovery combat vehicle (recovery tank) is designed for the recovery of destroyed, damaged or faulty combat technical equipment, for assisting in repairs, for shorter towing distances, and for setting up shelters.
The vehicle base is the T-55A tank chassis. It is equipped with winches, a plough, a lift and other tools required for recovery and basic field repairs. The tank is equipped with a machine gun primarily used for self-defence.

ZTS MARTIN MT-55 – Armoured Vehicle-Launched Bridge (AVLB) Tank
An AVLB tank is a tracked armoured vehicle designed to quickly overcome water obstacles or trenches in combat conditions. The vehicle base is the T-55A tank chassis, on top of which the systems, compounds and equipment required for launching a bridge, as well as the folding bridge itself, are mounted.
Vehicle base is the T-55A tank chassis. It is equipped with hydraulics for bridge assembly and disassembly. The tank is equipped with a machine gun primarily used for self-defence.

The BVP M-80A is a combat tracked fully amphibious vehicle, which is the basic vehicle of a mechanized squad. It is designed to destroy the opponent’s manpower and armoured and other combat assets on land, as well as air targets within the effective range of the turret weapons and personal weapons of the mechanized squad.
It is equipped with a 20 mm gun and a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. It has CBRN and fire protection.

The Medium Wheeled Armoured Vehicle 8x8 Svarun is a modular armoured vehicle, which was produced in three variants for the Slovenian Armed Forces: an armoured personnel carrier, a command vehicle and an infantry fighting vehicle.
The vehicles have a good armour and anti-mine protection, high mobility, the RBC protection system and two different weapon stations with modern electro-optical sensors. All vehicles have a modern inbuilt C4I system.

GDLS JERRY 6x6 Engineer Variant Wheeled Armoured Vehicle for EOD
The Wheeled Armoured Vehicle is designed for the EOD unit. It is equipped with specialized equipment and signals for unit operation.
The vehicles have a good armour and anti-mine protection and a large cargo area which enables the transportation of an EOD team, including their entire equipment. It is equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun.
