Brigadier General Milan Žurman

 
Brigadier General Milan Žurman was born on 6 November 1964 in Ljubljana.

 

Education:

• 1980–1983: Ivan Cankar High School, Ljubljana
• 1991: graduation from the Faculty of Economics, Ljubljana (part-time studies)
• 2001: graduation from the Faculty of Organisational Sciences, Kranj (part time studies)
• 1983–1984: Reserve Officer School (Air Defence Training Centre, Yugoslav People’s Army, Zadar)
• 1994–1995: Advanced Air-Defence Officer Course (U.S. Army Air Defense School, Fort Bliss, Texas, USA)
• 1997–1998: Senior Staff Course (Command and Staff School, Military Schools Centre, Poljče)
• 1998: »Leaders in the 21st Century« course (George C. Marshall Center – European Center for Security Studies, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany)

He was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in May 2015.

 

Brigadier General Žurman has received a number of decorations of the Ministry of Defence and foreign armed forces. The most important ones include Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal of General Maister, and Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

 

He lives with his family in Grosuplje.
