The Force Command is a joint operational-level command responsible for ensuring readiness and training of subordinated commands and units.

Constituent units

• 5th Intelligence Reconnaissance Battalion

• Special Operations Unit

• Provide force planning and the required level of readiness in subordinated commands and units, in accordance with the operational mobilisation development and defence plan.
• Sustain combat readiness of forces.
• Conduct training and practice in subordinated commands and units.
• Prepare, organise and conduct military operations within relevant areas of responsibility.
• Cooperate with units in the conduct of protection and rescue missions.
• Participate in civil-military cooperation.
• Control and fulfil all obligations arising from the participation of the Slovenian Armed Forces in multinational operations and missions.
