The Flight School is attached to the Air Defence and Aviation Brigade. It provides training for pilot candidates of the Slovenian Armed Forces at the Cerklje ob Krki Military Airport and at the military area of the Jože Pučnik Airport at Brnik.

Tasks

• Provide pilots of the Slovenian Armed Forces with basic and advanced flight training for aircrafts and helicopters.
• Provide theoretical flight training for obtaining an aircraft and helicopter Traffic Pilot License.
• Provide flight instructors with training in aircrafts and helicopters.
• Provide professional training for aviation technicians and engineers.
• Provide aircraft pilots with basic combat training.
• Provide aircraft and helicopter pilots with tactical training.
• Perform joint training with various units of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
• Provide training for the Airline Traffic Pilot License by Joint Aviation Authorities - JAA ATPL.
• Supply and maintain the Aviation Unit.
• Maintain aircrafts and helicopters at maintenance level I, perform minor repairs and participate in the maintenance of aircrafts and helicopters at maintenance level II.
