The Verification Centre is responsible for the implementation of provisions stipulated in international treaties on arms control.

Tasks


  • The Verification Centre is responsible for the planning, implementation and control of activities related to arms control within the Slovenian Armed Forces. It takes part in the fulfilment of obligations assumed by the Republic of Slovenia in international treaties on arms control.
  • Furthermore, it hosts and monitors inspectors from other OSCE participating states while they perform arms control in the Slovenian Armed Forces and carries out verification activities in non-NATO OSCE participating states.
  • The verification Centre cooperates with other state organs of the Republic of Slovenia in the area of arms control, as well as with foreign verification centres arms control agencies.
