The Battalion is attached to the 72nd Brigade and performs chemical-biological-radiological-nuclear surveillance (CBRN), as well as CBRN protection and decontamination tasks.

Tasks

  • Perform chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) decontamination, reconnaissance, as well as CBRN dosimetry, detection and analysis.
  • Provide support to CBRN units of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
  • Perform protection, rescue and relief tasks.
  • Perform tasks in international units within the NATO Response Force.
  • Test and introduce new CBRN resources and equipment.
  • Provide training for members of other units and members of the Battalion in the area of CBRN defence prior to their deployment to crisis response operations.
  • Perform tasks in multinational operations and missions.
