The Battalion is attached to the 1st Brigade. It provides combat capabilities for performing national defence and Alliance tasks outside the Slovenian territory.

Tasks

• Provide training for members of the Battalion, as well as manage and conduct preparations prior to deployment to multinational operations and missions.
• Participate in multinational operations and missions.
• Participate in the protection, rescue and relief system.
