The Battalion is attached to the 1st Brigade and is the core operational unit of the Slovenian Armed Forces within the Multinational Land Force – MLF, composed of the Slovenian, Italian and Hungarian Armed Forces.

Constituent units:

• Command
• HQ Logistics Company
• Three Motorised companies
• Mortar Company

Tasks:

• Provide forces for participation in the Multinational Land Force – MLF.
• Provide training for members of the battalion, as well as manage and     conduct preparations prior to deployment to crisis response operations.
• Participate in crisis response operations.
• Participate in the protection, rescue and relief system.
