Third month in Lebanon

In August, members of the eighth Slovenian Armed Forces Contingent in the international operation UNIFIL entered the third month of their operation in Lebanon.

In addition to reconnaissance tasks which constitute their main duty, a great deal of attention has so far been devoted to the maintaining of psychophysical shape and firing competency of contingent members. In July, they attended the Dancon march which is traditionally organised by the members of the Danish contingent. They also carried out a firing drill with personal weapons. Contingent members devote a lot of attention to the maintenance of equipment and weapons, since flawless technical capabilities are crucial to ensure safe and successful performing of tasks.
