Slovenian troops organised a weapons course for Afghan battalion members
Between 26 and 29 December, members of the 16th Slovenian ISAF Contingent organised a weapons course for Afghan battalion members in Bala Boluk.
The course included training for 12.7 x 9 mm M2 Browning Heavy Machine Gun and 7.62 x 51 mm MAG Machine Gun. In the first part of the training, course members learned the basic principles of weapon functioning, work of the crew, assembling and disassembling, weapon maintenance and safe weapon handling. The second part of the training consisted of combat shooting in the shooting range near the FOB LEIMBACH base.
Upon successful completion of the training, training members received certificates, while the best participants also received practical awards from the hands of training manager, Captain Kresnik.
