Members of the 16th Slovenian Armed Forces Contingent on a patrol mission
On Saturday, 26 November, members of the 16th Slovenian Armed Forces ISAF Contingent mentoring an Afghan battalion in Bala Boluk, Afghanistan carried out a patrol mission in the vicinity of the military base FOB Leimbach with an aim to improve security in the base.
Members of the Protection Platoon examined a broader and narrower area around the base. The aim of the task was to examine the area around the facilities in the vicinity of the base and verify the state and suitability of the protective wire fence mounted on the protective wall.
As part of the task, a Rapid Intervention Team was formed in the base to perform evacuation in the event of complications during task accomplishment. The Rapid Intervention Team was composed of company mentors who were at the same time trained in medical individual skills.
