Challenge 2011 successfully completed
On 29 September, the Macedonian Krivolak training range was the venue of the final phase of the tactical exercise Challenge 2011, during which members of the Slovenian Armed Forces Air Defence and Aviation Brigade together with their Macedonian counterparts demonstrated to the general public the combat capabilities of their weapon systems and the competence of their units.
A demonstration of ground-target bombing with the Pilatus PC-9 aircraft of the Slovenian Armed Forces took place, as well as tactical combat shooting of air targets with the Igla Man-Portable Air Defence System by Slovenian and Macedonian air defence units, and rocketing and shooting of ground targets with Macedonian combat helicopters MI24.
