Slovenian contingent in Latvia takes part in exercise Saber Knight

In the end of May, the computer-assisted exercise Saber Knight carried out within the Enhanced Forward Presence mission in the Baltics concluded. The exercise included two members of the 2nd Slovenian eFP Contingent and was organized by a Danish division, which forms a part of NATO’s multinational forces in the northeast of the country, headquartered in Szczecin, Poland. Exercise participants were trained in Article V offensive and defensive operations of allied units. The two Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF) members were engaged at the headquarters of the Latvian brigade and Danish division. The exercise included 18 countries constituting the division command, and six subordinate brigades (Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian and three Danish). After completing the exercise, participating nations signed an agreement on the inclusion of an additional Lithuanian brigade to make the division a seven-brigade unit.
