Military police in Kosovo train how respond to a shooting attack
In September, military police members deployed within the 39th Slovenian Armed Forces KFOR Contingent in Kosovo attended training and exercise training participants in response to a shooting attack for the first time. In cooperation with the military police from other participating deployed in KFOR, they were building up the comparability of tactical procedures in such situations. Much attention was devoted to mutual communication, coordinated and safe movement procedures and the disabling of a shooter.
The exercise scenario tested the response of the military police to a shooting attack with a large number of casualties. An appropriate, timely and effective response is imperative in a changed security environment, which is becoming increasingly unpredictable.
